Buddy club seat install
Took last Saturday to install my new Buddy club seat and PCI slider seat mount. The assembly of the seat mount seemed a little daunting at first, but once you lay out everything and refer to their diagram, the assembly actually went pretty smooth. The seat and mount looks very good. Once the install was complete I took the car for a spin and wow, what a different feeling/experience a seat makes. I cannot wait to get this out to the track!

Function 7 LCAs, Buddy club Racing Seat, ALL SMILES
Well a few quick updates. I ordered a set of the Function 7 lower control arms during JHPUSA Black Friday sale. I've always wanted a set of these, just never have pulled the trigger on em. But now a set belongs to me, and will go on when I install the suspension. Also, always remember to order new OEM Honda LCA and shock absorber bolts, because you'll probably break at least one. A fresh set is never a bad idea though on these old chassis.
I also found a great deal on the Buddy Club racing seat. IMO, there a few things necessary to have real fun at the circuit, and through my experience a race seat is one of them. Being held in, instead of thinking about holding yourself in, is a big factor to your overall track day experience. I've ridden with people who have race buckets, and it's a world of difference. I've never had a bucket seat, but told myself this time will be different!

Next, I will be getting a PCI seat slider mount to attach it to the chassis, once they have more in stock!
I also removed the bit of sound deadening by the spare tire well/back seats.
And finally, I got in contact with a car shop in Japan called ALL SMILES. They sold me a set of original JAF decals. I've always had a weird appreciation for these decals. I just think they're cool. So one will go on my rear hatch window shortly. They're also working on getting me some Osaka/Kanjo merchandise from various Kanjo racers there, so hopefully that all goes through. But for now, I'm All Smiles :)

Introduction
Hello and welcome to my blog site. The main aim of this blog is to chronicle the trials and tribulations of my new Civic EG. This will primarily be a track focused car and just something to have fun in.
A bit of background - I'm a Honda fan, enthusiast, die hard, fan boy, etc.... whatever you want to call it. If it's Honda, I like it. I got my first Honda, a 1990 Civic Si, when I was 14 years old, some 14 years ago actually! Since then, I've loved Honda and have always owned a Honda. I went through a whole bunch of them in HS... always chasing what I thought I needed, or just changing things up. After some time and maturing, I've realized it isn't about having this or that to post about it online, or to aim for "perfection" in a sense that if you don't have a set of $2500 wheels, then it isn't good, or the paint needing to be immaculate to feel accepted. That's something I've always thought I needed, but now I realize I don't. You just need to have fun throughout the process - hunting down the chassis, picking parts, installing, and racing. One aim = fun! The form comes from the function and through this you can have fun.
In 2010/2011 I purchased a 92 EG from a local junkyard with seized up D15. I put another D15 in it and ran around like that for awhile and it was my daily. Eventually, I swapped a JDM GSR B18C in it from Hmotorsonline. I was into drag racing a lot (and still enjoy it), but then I did a track day (after my life was changed doing 2 laps on the Nurburgring on a vacation) in 2012 and the experience of that really stuck with me. Some time passed and I actually ended up selling that car once I purchased a 2015 Chevy SS (Holden Commodore SSV) earlier this year. My dad bought one too and after I drove his I thought I should buy one, so I did haha. It was a nice experience but it never felt right to me, I just belong in a Honda. I did one track day in the SS and while it was a blast, I just got tired of how expensive the car was so I put it up for sale, and it sold about a month later.
Which brings us to now. A few weeks ago I purchased a decent condition 1993 Honda Civic VX hatchback. This will be the car that I feel I can bring to life all the ideas of what makes a fun car to me, in my favorite Honda chassis made.
At a rest stop in PA, somewhere along the way to pick up the car, 10 hours from where I live. This is my daily 2007 Civic Si.

On the way back now, straight through... about 22 hours total trip.

So what is h-garage? It's just a name I came up with for kinda the "zone" I go into when working on and planning the modification process for the car. It's a place where people can come together and share their thoughts, offer help and advice, and just have fun doing it. h-garage can be anywhere you're working on your car.
